The role is for a senior software engineer on the Agent Platform team at Netflix, focusing on building and operating the Agent SDK and MCP Gateway for AI agents. This team provides the foundational infrastructure that enables Netflix engineers to develop production-grade AI agents. The position emphasizes the integration of AI into various aspects of the company, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and a strong background in AI and LLM technologies.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering quality results.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, operating, and evaluating LLM agents in production.
• Experience with one or more agent frameworks or SDKs such as Strands, OpenAI Agents SDK, or Anthropic Claude Agent SDK.
• Strong experience building SDKs and APIs for internal or external developers.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Java, Go, C/C++, Rust, or Zig.

• Design, build, and operate the Agent SDK and MCP Gateway for AI agents.
• Build agents and agent infrastructure across the full lifecycle including planning, acting, observing, and iterating.
• Make evaluation a first-class part of the platform by building tracing, evaluation suites, and quality signals.
• Own reliability, observability, and guardrails for non-deterministic systems running at high scale.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with ML scientists, data scientists, product managers, and other AI Platform teams.
