Job description

This position leads the design and implementation of web-based applications, focusing on development best practices throughout the software development life cycle. The role requires expertise in various technologies and methodologies, ensuring the successful delivery of complex software systems. The individual will provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple teams while advising senior management on technical strategies. The position also involves researching and recommending new technologies to align with the business unit's strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Director, Software Development designing and developing web applications.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and four years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building highly scalable Spring Boot Microservices with RESTful architecture.
  • Experience developing responsive Single Page Applications using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Typescript.
  • Proficiency in developing cloud-native engineering solutions and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Translate and incorporate business vision and strategy into architectural strategy recommendations.
  • Participate in high-level, cross-functional architecture design teams.
  • Identify and consult with internal and external technical resources for strategic designs.
  • Consult on the development and delivery of major technology initiatives.
  • Oversee the technical implementation of cross-divisional architectural components.
  • Initiate and drive project discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.
  • Set vision, goals, and direction for the team or organization.
  • Plan and lead organization-wide initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams on complex projects.
  • Advise senior management on technical strategy.
