Job description

This role involves leading and overseeing end-to-end data science initiatives, focusing on data cleansing, preparation, and model development. The position requires strategic direction on Machine Learning pipeline architecture and collaboration across functions to deliver impactful solutions. The candidate will leverage their expertise to build, test, and monitor AI models while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role is critical in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Economics, or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Director, Data Science.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and four years of experience as a Director, Data Science.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning algorithms using R, Python, and SAS.
  • Experience in data wrangling and feature engineering for large, complex data across Cloud and on-premise data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in analyzing technology solutions for model deployment and integration in Cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities and evaluate best approaches for predictive or prescriptive analytics.
  • Implement best practices for model development and conduct code reviews.
  • Draw key business insights from advanced quantitative analyses and present findings to a broader audience.
  • Lead the design and deployment of advanced analytics solutions that convert raw data into actionable intelligence.
  • Deliver scalable insights while aligning analytics infrastructure with business priorities.
  • Direct the development and integration of analytics frameworks that transform raw data into strategic insights.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, business-aligned, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Lead and oversee the full AI/ML lifecycle, including data ingestion, model development, training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Consult with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.
  • Initiate and drive project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.
