This role involves providing guidance and leadership within a team of DevOps engineers focused on implementing testing capabilities for software delivery pipelines. The position requires developing integrated testing tools and constructing cloud-based testing infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with systems analysts and software developers to design systems and recommend changes to project development policies. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and advising senior management on technical strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and supporting solutions for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Experience with version control using Bitbucket/GitHub and creating Agile solutions in a large-scale environment.
- Proficiency in building automation frameworks using Java, SeeTest, and Maven/Gradle.
Responsibilities
- Participate in architecture design teams.
- Define and implement application-level architecture.
- Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems.
- Evaluate and recommend development testing tools and methodologies.
- Implement and maintain a suite of integrated testing tools.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for testing tools and infrastructure.
- Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
- Mentor junior team members and act as a liaison for business units.
- Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
