This position is for a Principal Software Engineer who will develop and maintain software solutions in cloud computing environments, focusing on technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. The role involves designing database schemas and creating REST APIs while leveraging DevOps practices and CI/CD tools. The engineer will work closely with architecture design teams and mentor junior team members. The main focus is on delivering high-quality software solutions that meet project goals on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in the same fields and three years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing Java Web services using Spring Boot and Spring Security.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for web services.
Responsibilities
- Participate in architecture design teams.
- Define and implement application-level architecture.
- Develop applications on complex projects and subsystems.
- Recommend development testing tools and methodologies.
- Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications.
- Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects.
- Advise on risk assessment and management strategies.
- Plan and coordinate project schedules and assignments.
- Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve project issues.
- Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluations.
- Advise senior management on technical strategy.
