Job description

This role focuses on developing core digital analytics capabilities and enhancing the usage of digital data across the organization. The position involves working closely with developers, engineers, and data analysts to improve business processes and provide technical guidance. The main focus is on implementing marketing technology tags, maintaining data integrity, and providing actionable insights to enhance digital marketing strategies. The candidate will also be responsible for fostering innovation and providing training to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer, or a Master’s degree and three years of experience.
  • Experience analyzing large scale datasets containing 150M+ records and providing actionable insights to improve digital marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in setting up, tracking, and collecting user feedback using platforms like Ensighten, Google Tag Manager, and Adobe Launch.
  • Proficiency in querying, merging, and analyzing transactional data using SQL in Hadoop or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

  • Use custom tools to implement marketing technology tags supporting qualitative and quantitative data analytics for web and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and data analysts to identify business and system requirements and maintain databases.
  • Develop tag specification documents and implementation strategies based on business requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks on code and assist the quality assurance team.
  • Report on key metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights based on analytics data.
  • Modify the data layer in collaboration with site developers to improve analytics.
  • Provide technical training and coaching to junior team members.
