Job description
This position involves providing technical guidance and resolving complex development and design issues while ensuring alignment with business partner requirements. The role focuses on architecting and building complex end-to-end systems, integrating with third-party platforms, and developing technology strategies in cloud computing environments like AWS and Azure. The candidate will drive digital transformation initiatives and mentor engineering staff while advancing best practices in Agile methodologies. This role requires in-depth knowledge of business functions to develop multi-faceted software applications that support strategic business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and four years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using RESTful Web services architecture and the Spring framework.
- Experience in developing distributed, low-latency, high throughput applications using CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Translate and incorporate business vision and strategy into architectural strategy recommendations.
- Participate in high-level, cross-functional architecture design teams.
- Consult on the development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.
- Oversee the technical implementation of cross-divisional architectural components.
- Provide leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams on complex projects.
- Research and recommend new technologies to support the strategic direction of the business unit.
