Job description

This position involves building and deploying cloud-enabled applications using 12-factor design principles. The role focuses on utilizing technologies such as Angular, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to create scalable and resilient systems. The engineer will also develop automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate will have experience in capital markets and a strong background in software development and architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in the same role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing enterprise-grade Spring Boot applications and using persistence frameworks like Hibernate or JPA.
  • Experience in developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and data capabilities within a financial services environment.
  • Proficiency in programming with Java, Node.js, Kafka, AWS, GCP, and Elastic.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architecture design teams and define application-level architecture.
  • Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review test plans.
  • Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables and develop comprehensive documentation.
  • Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
