The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the AWS Compliance & Security Assurance Engineering team, focusing on building customer trust through security and compliance initiatives. This multidisciplinary team aims to exceed the expectations of regulators, auditors, and customers globally. The role involves influencing projects across multiple products, owning internal services for security monitoring, and mentoring other developers. The engineer will also work on designing highly available and secure distributed systems while continuously improving agile processes.

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience or familiarity with building scalable systems that integrate Generative AI technologies

• Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage while mentoring other developers.
• Engineer systems for Amazon scale and discuss best practices in software development.
• Design highly available, secure, distributed systems of microservices and continuously improve them.
