Job description

The Systems Development Engineer I role at Amazon focuses on transforming supply chain technology architecture. Requirements

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Knowledge of best practices for software deployment
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes
  • Experience with iterative, agile development methodologies including scrum
  • Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver technology solutions that solve straightforward technical problems
  • Ensure solutions are well-tested, maintainable, and optimized for team needs
  • Identify risks and make appropriate technical trade-offs in designs
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the team to complete projects
  • Continuously learn and apply current engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot issues and thoroughly resolve defects in owned systems
  • Participate in design, operations, and post-incident reviews
  • Provide feedback when reviewing designs and implementations
  • Help train and mentor new team members, including interns
