The Amazon Devices team is seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of innovative consumer electronics. This role offers the opportunity to impact the architecture and implementation of products used daily by customers. The engineer will work on embedded systems, collaborating with both software and hardware teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The position requires a strong background in software development and system design.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Be responsible for system architecture and development of new features for embedded systems
• Investigate, prototype and deliver new and innovative system solutions
• Profile, analyze and optimize system level performance
• Design, develop and verify firmware for embedded systems
• Participate in design reviews, API development, and documentation
• Work with new technologies that are vital to product development
• Deliver investigation plans and reports, architectural documents, design specs, software and firmware source code, and build scripts
• Perform tasks including debug, bring-up, Beta and production software development
• Successfully collaborate with both software and hardware product teams
• Demonstrated expertise in building AI bots and integrating AI tools into standard workflows
