Job description

This role at Apple involves designing and integrating coherent and non-coherent interconnect fabrics into subsystems or SoCs. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure high-quality designs are delivered on time. Candidates will be responsible for RTL development, including templating and scripting, while also working closely with synthesis and verification teams. A strong understanding of memory hierarchy and cache coherency protocols is essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS degree and 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of cache coherency protocols such as MESI, MOESI, and directory-based coherence.
  • A consistent track record of delivering large, sophisticated designs in high volume production for low power applications.
  • Solid working experience with synthesis, power, performance, and verification teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate coherent and non-coherent fabrics into a subsystem or SoC.
  • Own all aspects of RTL development design, templating, scripting, and RTL generation.
  • Collaborate with other designers to deliver results.
  • Integrate common/shared IP blocks to design and optimize memories and hard macros.
  • Work with front-end synthesis and STA teams to ensure timing for the block is met.
  • Collaborate with power, performance, and functional verification teams to ensure high quality of the block.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups to ensure designs are delivered on time and with the highest quality.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
