Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to join the Data Center Global Services team. This role focuses on Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) design standards across AWS's global data center portfolio. The ideal candidate will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure excellence in data center control systems while driving cost reductions and innovation. This position offers an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects and contribute to the world's largest cloud infrastructure.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, and building operations.
• Professional Engineer License is preferred.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.

• Develop and maintain expertise in building operations and mechanical plant strategies.
• Create and disseminate specification documents and Basis of Design standards for global projects.
• Serve as the central point of contact for BMS/EPMS controls standards.
• Lead collaboration with construction teams and project managers to accomplish initiative goals.
• Evaluate and approve Modbus Device Templates for electrical meters and control devices.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support the global data center control system infrastructure.
• Drive innovation of new solutions to support team initiatives and company goals.
