Job description

The Technical Program Manager for Data Center Construction and Design Engineering at Google will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to manage project schedules, identify risks, and ensure clear communication across teams. The focus is on overseeing the entire lifecycle of data center infrastructure, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering aspects. The position also emphasizes strategic initiatives to enhance data center capacity and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in technical project management and construction design for data center infrastructure.
  • 4 years of experience in vendor, procurement, and supply chain management for technical infrastructure projects.
  • 4 years of experience with construction facilities management documentation and data center program management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical project management and engineering support for complex data center site execution issues.
  • Own the full production infrastructure design lifecycle from initial strategic readiness to End of Life management.
  • Partner with vendor resources and supply chain logistics to scale infrastructure products safely.
  • Advocate for documentation excellence and fleet transparency by resolving legacy technical debt.
