Job description

The Senior Software Developer in Computer Vision and XR at Google will focus on developing and deploying geometric sensing across various XR products. This role is part of Google's XR team, which is pioneering the integration of AI with XR technologies. The engineer will manage project priorities and collaborate with system owners to define roadmaps for XR geometric sensing. This position requires a blend of software development expertise and innovative thinking to enhance user experiences through advanced technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++ or Python.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with Computer Vision, including image classification and processing.
  • 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure, such as model deployment and optimization.
  • Experience working in Augmented Reality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy geometric sensing across a range of XR products and use cases.
  • Bring up sensing capabilities on new devices and prototypes.
  • Empower XR experiences by providing geometric sensing for features like 3D reconstruction and scene understanding.
  • Collaborate with system owners to define roadmaps for XR geometric sensing endpoints.
  • Develop systems and processes that ensure XR geometry can support geometric sensing Machine Learning across various products.
