Job description

The Senior Software Engineering Manager for AI/ML Recommendations, Rankings, and Predictions at YouTube will lead a team of engineers in developing advanced recommendation systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development.
  • 2 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, or optimizing industry-scale ML infrastructure.
  • 2 years of experience building and deploying recommendation systems models in production.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
  • Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
  • Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap within and beyond the scope of your teams.
  • Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area and review product or system development code.
