Job description

The Private Credit Market Specialist role at Bloomberg involves consulting with senior decision makers at client accounts and providing critical feedback to shape product development. The Market Specialist team serves as financial market and workflow experts, focusing on building and implementing strategies to retain and grow revenue. This client-facing position requires collaboration with various departments and a strong understanding of private credit markets. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, comfortable in a demanding, client-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Private Credit
  • A sound understanding of Credit Research in relation to both public and private credit markets
  • Familiarity with the interaction between General Partners and Limited Partners
  • Experience in portfolio management, risk assessment and/or valuation processes of private assets would be beneficial
  • Practical experience using the terminal, or similar product, for both public and private credit asset types
  • The business insight required to make good judgement and quick decisions
  • The ability to convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way
  • Willingness to travel extensively and with high frequency in continental North America
  • Outstanding presentation, training and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Consult with senior decision makers at client accounts to help close new sale opportunities
  • Provide critical feedback to help shape the development of Bloomberg's product
  • Apply strong market experience and technical skills to assist in generating revenue
  • Act in an advisory capacity to clients concerning their challenges and how to address them using Bloomberg products
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the competitor landscape and its effects on customers
  • Influence the direction of Bloomberg products through thought leadership and innovative ideas
  • Establish a roadmap of initiatives that align with product, sales, and company goals
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives
  • Seek out additional ways to make an impact, such as mentoring and involvement in training
