The Senior Substation Engineer will work within Jacobs' Energy & Power Group, focusing on Substation Physical Design for utility upgrades and energy transition projects. This role involves collaborating with regional and global teams to support utility and developer clients in delivering cleaner and more secure energy solutions. The engineer will also mentor team members and engage with professional societies to stay updated on industry advancements. This position requires a strong technical background in high voltage substation components and design processes.

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) within the United States or ability to obtain additional PE licenses.
• Minimum 8 years of direct Substation Physical design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of high voltage substation components.
• Prior experience in development of substation physical designs from conceptual through IFC drawings.

• Interface directly with utility and developer clients to develop Substation Physical design deliverables.
• Provide engineering overview, expertise, and direction as an independent technical advisor.
• Mentor team members across North America and globally.
• Support the sales and proposal preparation process for new contracts.
• Perform project scoping, prepare task orders, and conduct design reviews.
