Job description
The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead the Simultaneous Shipping (SimShip) program for a strategic Microsoft AI partnership. This role involves orchestrating complex global releases across various teams to ensure high-quality experiences in diverse markets. The TPM will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to drive synchronized delivery and customer success. Success in this position requires strong judgment, coordination, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code.
- Experience building, shipping, or operating AI services or products.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SimShip program execution, ensuring alignment across global release timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Drive clarity in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments and create structured plans for predictable delivery.
- Establish and manage the release rhythm of business, including ship readiness reviews and executive reporting.
- Partner with engineering, product, localization, compliance, and operations teams across Microsoft and with a key strategic partner.
- Own readiness across all dimensions of SimShip, including localization, regulatory compliance, and service health.
- Identify and proactively mitigate risks that could impact release timelines or quality.
- Define and track key operations metrics to drive continuous improvements to release processes.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
