Job description
Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Project Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team. This role involves direct client interaction and coordination with the power delivery team to ensure project execution aligns with applicable codes and standards. The engineer will work on substation electrical engineering, detail design, and studies for utility and developer clients in North America. The position emphasizes collaboration with various engineering departments and requires a strong team player mindset.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience within Substation projects from 4kV up to 500kV
- Experience with key considerations for substation physical layouts and engineering design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS, and other engineering software
- Design experience adhering to National Electrical Code, National Electric Safety Code, IEEE codes and standards
Responsibilities
- Support engineering, detail design, studies, and delivery of substation physical electrical projects on transmission and distribution substations.
- Deliver project design under supervision from senior engineers and prepare bidding documents and specifications.
- Coordinate closely with civil, structural, high-voltage P&C electrical, telecommunications, and geotechnical engineers.
- Provide quality assurance/quality control on the work of other electrical engineers and designers.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors to support project execution.
