Job description
The Sr. Data Scientist will lead the development and implementation of data science and machine learning applications in collaboration with the Technology team. This role focuses on advanced model development, programming activities, and strategic partnerships to enhance data products and processes. The candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level data scientists while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Requirements
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related Applications Development role.
- Extensive experience in statistical analysis and machine learning model development using the Python AI/ML stack.
- Proven experience in managing and implementing successful data science projects from conception to production.
- Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in applied machine learning, particularly in anomaly detection and natural language processing.
Responsibilities
- Partner with management teams to integrate data science functions to meet business goals.
- Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of complex business and system processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise in data science and ensure application design adheres to architectural standards.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of the machine learning model lifecycle to enforce coding and testing standards.
- Develop innovative, data-driven solutions and machine learning models to address complex business issues.
- Mentor mid-level data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to data and AI.
