·FY 2025Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Scientist to advance capabilities in synthetic data generation and privacy-preserving AI. The role involves contributing to the NVIDIA NeMo ecosystem and collaborating with various teams to enhance large language models (LLMs) and privacy-enhancing methods. This position combines software engineering with applied research, focusing on context-aware anonymization and automated evaluation. The ideal candidate will also mentor junior researchers and publish original research to maintain NVIDIA's technical leadership.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A research background of 2+ years in applied LLM/NLP research and engineering, synthetic data generation, anonymization and PII detection, or related areas.
- Proven track record of developing or maintaining software libraries used by a broad developer community.
- Strong publication record at premier venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL or similar.
Responsibilities
- Build LLM-based methods for synthetic data generation, privacy, and context-aware anonymization.
- Optimize task-specific LLMs for low-latency, high-throughput inference.
- Design and maintain open-source libraries and SDKs with clean APIs and strong documentation.
- Drive software excellence with modern tooling and architecture based on configuration.
- Publish original research at top machine learning and AI conferences.
- Mentor interns and junior researchers to develop technical growth within the team.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
