Job description

This role seeks experienced software engineers with a strong background in scalable batch and streaming processing systems. The team focuses on advancing data infrastructure and driving innovation within Apple Services Engineering. Engineers will collaborate with open source data experts to enhance and automate infrastructure, ensuring effective management across data centers and cloud services. The work will significantly contribute to the performance and scalability of systems supporting millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience working on distributed systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience running production applications using Apache Spark.
  • BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Apache Iceberg and Apache Kafka.
  • Experience building connectors from Spark to various data sources.
  • Familiarity with Yarn, Kubernetes, or other compute substrates.
