Job description

Apple's Platform Architecture group is seeking an engineer to develop and deploy agentic AI workflows that enhance pre-silicon validation processes. The role focuses on bridging applied artificial intelligence with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) to create autonomous agents that optimize silicon verification tasks. The team aims to innovate in high-performance verification systems and push the boundaries of pre-silicon validation. Candidates will work at the intersection of hardware design and verification, utilizing AI-based automation and infrastructure development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience in applied AI or EDA/Silicon.
  • Proficiency in scripting and software engineering, particularly in Python or C/C++.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related AI/Hardware field is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Design Verification tasks and EDA tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy AI workflows to automate pre-silicon validation processes.
  • Build autonomous agents to triage errors and tune simulation parameters.
  • Collaborate with silicon engineering, design verification, and EDA development teams.
  • Explore unfamiliar codebases and research cutting-edge techniques.
  • Rapidly prototype automated solutions for silicon verification.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
