As a Tooling & Infrastructure Engineer at Apple, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on enhancing the internal tooling ecosystem. Your role will involve designing, building, and deploying automation tools and infrastructure that empower engineering teams to operate efficiently. You will engage with software diagnosis and triage processes to inform the development of user-centric tools. Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in software engineering, tooling, or infrastructure development
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; 2 years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the educational requirement
- Effective and collaborative communication skills
- Proficiency in programming, with an emphasis on Python
- Experience with containerization, deployment, and orchestration
- Experience building and integrating with internal APIs, automation scripts, and CLI utilities
- Familiarity with software diagnosis, debugging, and triage workflows
- Ability to engage with and understand software triage workflows
- Proactive, self-motivated, and thoughtful in development and documentation
- Eagerness to learn new things and grow your skills on the job
- Experience with bug/issue ticketing systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Champion the internal tooling ecosystem by designing, building, and deploying automation tools and internal APIs.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to improve the systems they rely on.
- Engage with the software diagnosis and triage process to gain empathy for user workflows.
- Build effective, user-centric tools that support the team's mission.
- Contribute to the system experience across all Apple platforms including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS.
