This role is a technical leadership position within the AWS Applied AI Solutions team, focusing on the development of foundational AI components for enterprise-scale applications. The successful candidate will lead the initiative to create reusable AI building blocks that enhance product delivery across various business applications. The role requires collaboration with engineers and product managers to define and implement cutting-edge AI solutions.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
• Experience designing and implementing AI/ML systems
• Strong working knowledge of AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Expertise in PII handling and data protection

• Own the technical architecture and strategy for a critical AI agent capability area
• Lead projects requiring multiple engineers while balancing business goals with technical excellence
• Research, evaluate, and integrate state-of-the-art AI technologies
• Design and implement reusable AI components that meet enterprise-grade quality standards
• Drive consensus across teams to create unified AI building blocks
• Champion engineering best practices and establish a culture of robust software development
• Mentor and coach other engineers to foster technical growth
• Communicate complex technical designs to diverse audiences
