Job description
The Software Engineering Manager for Home Energy at Apple will lead a team focused on developing cross-platform energy features and enhancing the EnergyKit developer platform. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including server-side energy and cross-functional partners, to drive product execution from development to launch. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and team management, ensuring high-quality consumer products are delivered. The position requires a hands-on approach in design, development, and code review while championing the strategic role of Home Energy across Apple.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Apple platform technologies.
- 5+ years managing engineering teams that design and ship complex software systems.
- A track record of successfully launching high-quality consumer products end-to-end.
- Demonstrated experience leading senior engineers and senior cross-functional projects.
- Experience using modern developer tools, including AI-assisted workflows.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with utility, automotive, or energy-industry partners.
- Experience growing developer-facing platforms or SDKs.
- Software architecture and system design experience across client, system services, and cloud integration.
Responsibilities
