Job description

Join the Apple Pay Security Engineering team to enhance the security and user experience of new Apple Pay products. This role focuses on breaking hardware, software, and services to identify vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. You will leverage AI to improve security testing tools and workflows while maintaining a sense of ownership in your work. If you are passionate about digital security and enjoy problem-solving, this position may be a great fit for you.

Requirements

  • You have a strong foundation in security engineering and pentesting.
  • You possess hands-on experience with agentic/LLM-based coding tools.
  • You understand various cryptographic algorithms such as RSA, AES, and SHA.
  • You can effectively communicate across multiple teams.
  • You have experience in shipping software or integrating security into the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on security testing, including pentesting and negative testing.
  • Threat model hardware and software designs to identify potential attacks.
  • Build and refine AI workflows and security testing tools.
  • Propose new designs and architectural improvements based on findings.
  • Independently verify or refute security findings rather than accepting them at face value.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
