Job description

As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You will be responsible for implementing technical solutions and troubleshooting straightforward problems across various sites. The position requires self-motivation and the ability to manage local technical projects while ensuring the availability of IT infrastructure. You will also interact with management and staff to improve IT solutions and support customers in a defined geographical area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in IT support.
  • Bachelor's degree or experience in IT-related fields such as networking or system administration.
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment.
  • 2+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • 2+ years of experience in PC repair and troubleshooting.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco/CCNA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform network engineering and troubleshooting in various software and hardware environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
  • Provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
  • Manage local technical projects and maintain or create policies and procedures.
  • Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Support customers from multiple buildings and remote locations.
  • Travel within the local or regional area to provide customer support.
