Job description

As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You will be part of the OpsTech IT team, which is essential for maintaining the efficiency of Amazon's operations. The position requires self-motivated individuals who can troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will directly impact the availability and performance of IT solutions across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies including AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
  • 2+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting corporate Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining a corporate network environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in IT-related fields such as networking or administration.
  • 2+ years of computer networking experience.
  • Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration.
  • Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
  • Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for IT solutions.
  • Manage local technical projects effectively.
  • Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Move up to 49lbs and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
  • Support customers from multiple buildings and remote locations.
  • Travel within the local or regional area to provide customer support.
