Job description
As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You will be part of a team that ensures the availability of IT infrastructure and develops solutions to operational challenges. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. You will also interact with management and staff to improve IT solutions and support customers across multiple locations.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies such as AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 2+ years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
- 1+ years of experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
- 2+ years of experience in networking, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- 2+ years of experience supporting corporate Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems.
- 2+ years of experience maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in computer networking.
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration in various software and hardware environments.
- Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
- Manage local technical projects effectively.
- Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Move up to 49lbs and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area and remote customers.
- Travel within the local or regional area to support customers.
