Job description

The Data Engineer role at Prime Video focuses on enhancing the core data infrastructure for the Partner and Content Foundations team. This position involves implementing AWS services to build data pipelines and improve data accuracy while ensuring compliance with Amazon's data regulations. The team works with large datasets in a complex data lake and warehouse environment, collaborating closely with product managers and software development engineers. The goal is to drive data-driven decision-making and support self-service analytics for product teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices
  • Leverage AWS data processing services
  • Possess broad knowledge of different data types and when to use them
  • Understand data security and compliance standards to ensure alignment with company policies and regulations
  • Use GenAI to improve efficiency and accelerate delivery
