Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Tampa, Florida, focusing on designing electrical power systems for the municipal water and wastewater industry. The role involves collaborating with a team of professionals to provide technical and design consulting services, particularly in electrical power distribution and motor controls. The engineer will also oversee junior staff and contribute to the growth of the municipal water and wastewater practice. Requirements

  • At least 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida.
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code – NFPA 70, NFPA 820, and NFPA 70E.
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate electrical systems for water and wastewater projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to electrical staff through mentorship and quality control reviews.
  • Manage project budgets and delivery schedules for assignments.
  • Support business development by preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets for new projects.
  • Conduct field inspections and oversee construction projects to ensure design compliance.
