Arcadis is seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Mechanical or Environmental Engineer to join the Melville, NY office. This role involves supporting environmental engineering services, focusing on the design and operational support of environmental remediation systems for soil and groundwater. The engineer will work alongside senior engineers and project managers on various environmental assessment and remediation projects. The position requires a balance of fieldwork and office duties, contributing to meaningful solutions for local clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field
• Strong experience in environmental investigations and compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Support environmental engineering services for local clients
• Participate in field investigations, sampling activities, and remedial efforts
• Engage in face-to-face meetings with clients and technical teams
• Understand and follow written work plans and engineering design drawings
• Conduct site inspections and remedial system operations and maintenance activities
• Manage data compilation, manipulation, evaluation, and presentation
• Write and prepare reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
• Coordinate with project managers and senior engineering staff
