The Expert Senior Manager, Engineering Excellence role focuses on driving client improvements in AI-assisted maturity across people, process, and technology. You will work with Bain's Vector team, which leads software development efforts and defines engineering standards globally. This position involves mentoring developers, leading cross-functional teams, and developing modern software practices. You will also engage with clients to understand their architecture and design innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience with full-stack development.
- 6+ years of experience with micro-service API development.
- 4+ years of experience in consulting.
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing development teams.
- 1+ years of experience with AI tools.
- Strong knowledge in development best practices.
- Deep understanding of large language models and transformer architectures.
- Strong Python proficiency for AI development.
Responsibilities
- Drive client improvements in AI-assisted or AI-led maturity across people, process, and technology.
- Mentor and coach developers to improve productivity through the adoption of AI tools.
- Lead in designing, developing, and documenting AI applications aligned to business outcomes.
- Develop prompt engineering strategies and optimize model inference latency and cost.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deploy production quality code for clients.
- Provide technical guidance to external clients and internal stakeholders.
- Scope, architect, design, develop, build, and release robust and scalable applications.
- Design integrations with third-party systems to enable use cases that power business solutions.
