Job description

The Senior Consultant role in EY's Enterprise Risk Transformation team focuses on supporting Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) companies with risk transformation within finance and revenue ecosystems. This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and involves working with complex revenue models as companies modernize their systems. The consultant will collaborate with engagement teams and client stakeholders to embed controls into processes and platforms. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting and risk concepts to effectively contribute to project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in risk consulting, accounting, audit, or related roles.
  • Exposure to SOX 404 compliance activities, including process walkthroughs and control testing procedures.
  • Experience supporting Technology, Media, or Telecommunications (TMT) organizations or clients.
  • Foundational experience with revenue accounting and related finance processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and/or revenue/billing platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks and deliverables within risk transformation engagements.
  • Work with client stakeholders to support execution of project activities.
  • Assist in documenting and implementing process and control frameworks across the revenue lifecycle.
  • Support integration of controls within ERP, billing, and revenue platforms.
  • Perform analysis to support revenue reconciliation and data alignment improvements.
  • Contribute to risk and control considerations within system implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across finance, RevOps, and engineering.
  • Execute SOX walkthroughs, control testing, and process narrative documentation.
