Job description

The Technical Support Professional role at IBM focuses on providing exceptional support for Ceph Storage customers. This position is part of the Technical Support team, where the engineer will act as a Technical Account Manager, ensuring a high-quality customer experience. The role requires a strong background in Linux storage system administration and Opensource Ceph. The engineer will work closely with a select group of customers to address their specific needs and challenges.

Requirements

  • An Associate's Degree or College Diploma is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Linux system administration through the CLI.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software-defined storage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administration and debugging issues related to the Opensource Ceph project.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical advisor for customers planning and deploying IBM Software.
  • Act as a consistent single point of contact for customers as their technology needs evolve.
  • Partner with customers to proactively resolve potential problems before they occur.
  • Guide and advise customers on technology strategy to maximize the value of IBM products and solutions.
