JobsApplied AI Engineer (EDA), Platform Architecture
Job description
Apple's Platform Architecture group is looking for an engineer to develop and deploy agentic AI workflows that enhance pre-silicon validation processes. The team focuses on building high-performance verification systems for Apple silicon, utilizing advanced artificial intelligence techniques. This role involves bridging applied AI with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) to create autonomous agents that optimize simulation and verification tasks. The engineer will work on AI-based automations and infrastructure development, contributing to continuous experimentation in hardware design and verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience in applied AI or EDA/Silicon, with a focus on automation and machine learning.
- Proficiency in scripting and software engineering, particularly in Python or C/C++.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related AI/Hardware field.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI workflows to automate pre-silicon validation processes.
- Build autonomous agents that triage errors and tune simulation parameters.
- Reduce maintenance burdens for silicon verification teams through automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in silicon engineering and design verification.
- Explore unfamiliar codebases and prototype automated solutions rapidly.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
