JobsApplied AI Engineer (EDA), Platform Architecture
Job description
Apple's Platform Architecture group is looking for an engineer to develop and deploy AI workflows that enhance pre-silicon validation processes. The team focuses on building high-performance verification systems that leverage artificial intelligence and Electronic Design Automation (EDA). The role involves creating autonomous agents to optimize simulation parameters and reduce maintenance burdens. Candidates will work at the intersection of hardware design and verification, emphasizing AI-based automation and infrastructure development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience in applied AI or EDA/Silicon, with a focus on automation or machine learning.
- Proficiency in scripting and software engineering, particularly in Python or C/C++.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related AI/Hardware field.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy agentic AI workflows for pre-silicon validation.
- Bridge the gap between applied artificial intelligence and Electronic Design Automation.
- Build autonomous agents that triage errors and tune simulation parameters.
- Conduct continuous experimentation at the intersection of hardware design and verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in silicon engineering and design verification.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
