Job description

The role involves working as a Thermal/Mechanical Engineer within the AWS Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics team, focusing on the design and development of server platforms. The team is responsible for creating innovative cooling and mechanical technologies for large-scale server deployments. This position requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with cross-discipline teams to enhance product performance and reliability. Candidates should be prepared to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems
  • Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
  • Participate in the cross-discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
  • Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
  • Manage interaction with overseas resources
  • Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers
