Job description
The Health AI team at Apple is seeking a senior engineer to tackle real-world problems in the health domain using machine learning and generative AI. This close-knit group of research scientists and engineers is dedicated to creating innovative technologies that positively impact users' lives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and machine learning, particularly in generative models and large language models. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall software development experience.
- Experience leading a team and proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Strong background in generative models, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning.
- Proficiency in developing and working with large-scale models using modern machine learning packages.
- Experience with healthcare data, products, and workflows.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, tune, and evaluate machine learning models and systems.
- Solve ambitious problems involving unique data and high-impact products.
- Rapidly apply engineering best practices and novel research techniques.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver customer-facing features with machine learning capabilities.
