NVIDIA is seeking system safety engineers to develop safe, AI-powered autonomous driving systems. The role involves applying V-Model methodologies across various disciplines including AI, computer vision, and software architecture. Engineers will work closely with diverse teams to derive and validate functional and safety requirements. This position requires a hands-on approach to systems engineering and a commitment to mentoring development teams.

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of proven industry experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in process definition, improvement, implementation, and roll-out

• Work closely with diverse teams to derive functional and safety requirements from use cases and driving modes
• Contribute to architecture decomposition and validation while mentoring teams in requirements processes
• Guide teams in system safety engineering methodologies for development and verification
• Collaborate with other teams on V-Model process improvements and support alignment to customer requirement management processes
• Apply MBSE development methods to safety and security functions
