Job description

The Director of Systems Software Engineering at NVIDIA's Edge AI, Metropolis, and Blueprints team will lead a decentralized engineering and data team focused on advancing NVIDIA's Vision AI strategy. This role combines visionary leadership with technical execution, emphasizing low-latency inference and modern architectures. The director will drive the end-to-end Vision AI Acceleration strategy and collaborate with partners to optimize deep learning pipelines. This position is critical for positioning NVIDIA as a leader in Physical AI.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years in engineering, including 10+ years in deep learning research or practice.
  • 7+ years in leadership roles.
  • 10+ years delivering production-grade embedded software in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of CPU, GPU, and dedicated deep learning architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, mentor, and strategically grow a world-class engineering and data team across multiple regions.
  • Own NVIDIA’s end-to-end Vision AI Acceleration strategy, focusing on low-latency performance improvements.
  • Architect optimized deep learning pipelines for major OEMs and partners.
  • Drive continuous optimization efforts to achieve industry-leading benchmark results.
  • Develop upcoming SoC/GPU hardware using customer insights and represent NVIDIA’s vision globally.
