This role is based in Santa Clara, CA, and offers the chance to work with advanced semiconductor technologies in a collaborative environment. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring product reliability and innovation through rigorous testing and debugging. Joining NVIDIA means contributing to a legacy of technological advancement and being part of a diverse team committed to excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in ESD and latch-up testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with JEDEC and AEC standards related to ESD and latch-up qualification.
  • Practical experience working with MK4 and Orion testers.
  • Solid knowledge of CMOS I/O circuits and ESD protection structures.
  • Proficiency in analyzing IC electrical test data and interpreting qualification results.
  • Experience debugging ESD or latch-up failures at the pin, circuit, or product level.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor reliability qualification flows.
  • Experience coordinating with external test vendors and internal multi-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills to summarize technical findings clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform ESD and latch-up qualification for new and updated products.
  • Develop HBM, CDM, Latch Up I-test, and supply overvoltage stress programs in accordance with JEDEC/AEC standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to compose, build, and validate ESD and LU test fixtures.
  • Conduct ESD and latch-up characterization on test chips incorporating new I/O interfaces.
  • Provide regular test status updates to internal engineering and program teams.
  • Debug marginal or failing pins and work closely with Failure Analysis, Design, and Product teams.
  • Maintain, resolve problems in, and calibrate in-house test equipment.
  • Update and maintain internal ESD and latch-up databases, documentation, and online resources.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
