Job description
The Front-End RTL Infrastructure - CAD Engineer will be a key player in developing and supporting the infrastructure used by design and verification teams at Apple. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of the RTL gatekeeping infrastructure and version control ecosystem. The engineer will also drive innovation by integrating generative AI solutions to enhance engineering productivity. Working within a motivated CAD team, the engineer will contribute to maintaining high-quality infrastructure that supports Apple's chip design efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in programming in Python or Perl
- Knowledge in Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Experience with Front-End EDA tools such as Clock Domain Crossing, Reset Domain Crossing, or Lint
- Understanding of Front-End RTL Build or Construction flows
- Excellent communication, debug, and root causing skills
- Customer-oriented mindset and support experience
- Experience in leading large-scale software system development from specification to deployment
- MSEE/CE/CS preferred
Responsibilities
- Support RTL gatekeeping infrastructure and design verification collateral.
- Contribute to soft IP development and release methodologies.
- Manage Perforce administration to ensure version control integrity.
- Maintain a centralized configuration management system for Front-End flows.
- Drive innovation by building generative AI solutions across systems.
- Manage and update internal training materials and coordinate vendor trainings.
- Promote and drive robust, scalable infrastructure solutions across RTL Design and DV teams.
