The position is for a process technology design engineer within the Advanced Design and Foundational IP team at Intel. This team focuses on design-technology co-optimization and foundational IP development to support various technology advancements. The engineer will create methodologies and models for advanced design rules and ensure that designs meet manufacturing process standards. The role involves optimizing silicon designs and conducting experiments to address potential challenges in the process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science with 4+ years of industry experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience with digital design and signoff.
- Ability to independently complete Netlist RTL-GDS place and route (APR) and signoff tasks.
Responsibilities
- Create methodologies, models, and flows for advanced design rules for specific process nodes.
- Ensure IP and SoC designs meet requirements and standards for manufacturing process technology.
- Identify ways to optimize silicon designs by evaluating device performance over various operating conditions.
- Resolve prototype issues and determine whether problems are design or process related.
- Conduct experiments to identify potential challenges in the process and ensure it meets yield, quality, and reliability standards.
- Drive continuous improvements to enhance designs, materials, and methodologies.
- Disseminate process development information to design groups and ensure it meets future product requirements.
