Job description
The Front-End RTL Infrastructure - CAD Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and supporting a reliable infrastructure for design and verification teams at Apple. This position focuses on building innovative solutions, particularly through generative AI, to enhance engineering productivity and infrastructure reliability. The engineer will manage version control systems and maintain training materials for design and verification engineers. The role is integral to ensuring high-quality infrastructure that supports Apple's chip design efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in programming in Python or Perl
- Knowledge in Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Experience with Front-End EDA tools such as Clock Domain Crossing, Reset Domain Crossing, or Lint
- Understanding of Front-End RTL Build or Construction flows
- Excellent communication, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
- Customer-oriented mindset and support experience
- Experience in leading large-scale software system development from specification to deployment
- MSEE/CE/CS preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and support a reliable infrastructure for design and verification teams
- Contribute to Perforce administration and ensure the integrity of the version control ecosystem
- Maintain a centralized configuration management system for Front-End flows
- Drive innovation by building generative AI solutions across systems
- Manage and update internal training materials for Designer/DV engineers
- Coordinate vendor trainings to equip engineers with necessary skills
- Promote and drive robust, scalable infrastructure solutions across RTL Design and DV teams
