Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Baseband Engineer to join the Telematics Hardware Platform Systems team in San Diego or Boulder. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong fundamentals in digital hardware systems and system-level design.
- Hands-on experience with baseband bring-up, debug, and validation on new hardware platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, bring up, and validate baseband subsystems for automotive telematics hardware platforms.
- Perform system-level debugging and root-cause analysis across hardware, firmware, and system interfaces.
- Collaborate with RF, systems, software, component, mechanical, and customer engineering teams.
- Support hardware validation and characterization, including lab bring-up, stress testing, and performance analysis.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including bring-up notes, debug reports, and design recommendations.
