Job description

As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating embedded and cloud edge software to create innovative products that meet customer needs. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure system-level software solutions are effective and efficient. This role requires a strong background in software engineering and the ability to lead projects with minimal supervision. You will also be involved in code reviews and documentation to maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
  • 12+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience is preferred.
  • 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, create, modify, and validate critical embedded and cloud edge software.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to customize software for operational efficiency.
  • Lead design, coding, and testing efforts to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Perform complex code reviews and regression tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to design integrated solutions.
  • Write detailed technical documentation for complex software projects.
