Job description

The RF Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is responsible for the architecture, design, integration, validation, and optimization of RF hardware systems for advanced wireless products. This role requires deep expertise in RF circuit design and system integration, along with collaboration across various teams including system, digital, software, and manufacturing. The engineer will lead RF bring-up, debugging, and validation activities while contributing to design documentation and technical reviews. This position demands technical leadership and independent problem-solving skills to deliver high-performance RF solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
  • Fundamental knowledge of RF and microwave engineering, analog and mixed-signal circuit design, and wireless communications.

Responsibilities

  • Define RF hardware architectures and specifications based on system-level requirements.
  • Design, integrate, and optimize RF hardware circuits and subsystems.
  • Lead RF bring-up, debug, tuning, and validation activities.
  • Perform RF simulations, modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Execute and interpret RF measurements including S-parameters and noise figure.
  • Drive RF design reviews and contribute to cross-disciplinary technical discussions.
